Ta Ji: Relaxation and Expansion
Class 4 of Tai Ji Fundamentals: Relaxation and Expansion In this class we focus on 2 different energetics hidden in all Tai Ji movement expressions. Relaxation (song) is sinking power, which then transforms into expansiveness (peng). We will engage in exercises to help each practitioner feel and access these qualities: -shuang long bao zhu standing pillar -hand and finger quality and position for peng -chen jian zhui zhou (sink shoulders, relax elbows) -song yao (relax the waist) -phrases: withdrawing three ten step miles, scooping up qi irrigate the summit
